We understand there's likely a lot of data already in your Action@EECOL account, and we're sure you'd like to maintain as much of this as possible. One way to maintain this information is to import your saved Action@EECOL carts as Saved Lists on EECOL.com!
Check out the video tutorial below or read on for written steps:
STEP ONE: Download saved cart from your action@eecol.com account
1. Log into your Action@EECOL.com account and click on Carts button from the top menu bar.
2. Within the carts section, click onto your desired saved cart from the cart name list.
3. Click the download button. This will export your saved cart onto a spreadsheet within your downloads folder.
STEP TWO: Log into your EECOL.com account
1. Log into your EECOL.com account. Once you’re logged into your account, click into your Account from the top right corner (located near your name).
2. From the drop-down menu, click into Quick Order.
3. In the Quick Order area, you will see an option to Import CSV File. This option is used to migrate your saved cart data.
NOTE: Before proceeding with the next step, the exported data needs to get updated to match the required format for importing into EECOL.com
STEP THREE: Prepare saved cart spreadsheet for import into EECOL.com
1. Open saved cart spreadsheet file from your downloads folder. You will notice this spreadsheet contains multiple columns. Only two of these columns are needed for the import into EECOL.com. They are the Part Number and the Qty columns.
2. Delete the extra columns from the spreadsheet. For example, you can delete the columns MFR and Manufacturer Number together by selecting columns B and C. Then, right click and delete. Next, you can delete all the columns after Part Number by selecting columns E through P (Description through UPC).
3. With only the Qty and Part Number column remaining, you will need to make a few additional changes. The first column must include the part information and be titled Part # (with the number symbol). The second column must include the quantities and be titled qty (abbreviation qty in lowercase).
4. The final spreadsheet preparation step is saving the document as a CSV file. To complete this, click File > Save As. From the file format drop down menu, select CSV or .csv and Save the document.
STEP FOUR: Import CSV file into EECOL.com
1. Return to EECOL.com Quick Order section and click Attach and add your csv file. Once attached, click the Upload button.
Note: if a red error message appears, this means your document either has the incorrect columns, titles, or isn’t a CSV file format.
2. Once imported, the products from your saved cart will appear within the Quick Order section.
3. The next step is adding these products to a Saved List within EECOL.com. To complete this, click the Select All check box and use the drop-down menu to either add the products to an existing list or Add New List.
4. If adding to a new list, enter the List Name and Save.
STEP FIVE: Quick Order and Saved List options
1. From the Quick Order section, you can automatically add the selected products to your shopping cart by clicking the Add to Cart button.
2. You can visit the EECOL.com Saved Lists section, by clicking Account and Saved Lists.
In this section:
a. You can create new saved lists by using the Add button
b. View a list using the View button
c. Edit the name of a list using the Edit button
d. Delete a list by using the Delete button
e. Remove products using the Selection checkboxes and Remove button
f. Add products to your cart by using the Selection or Select All checkboxes and Add to Cart button
Note: This process is used to migrate your saved carts from Action@EECOL and import the data into EECOL.com. Once imported, you will use the new Saved Lists functionality to easily access your product lists within eecol.com. You can learn more about saved lists below.
